We rolled Wolf Track, Shannon Gulch, Uf-Da, middle road and Upper road last night. Middle road is good everywhere except the south facing hillside going down into the Waddell drainage,(before "Chute" trail). You will have to take off your skis for several bare spots. Just a couple of thin spots past that, watch for random rocks. Upper road is in steller condition, worth skiing all day up there! Uf-Da is best skied uphill, not recomended to go down it. Wolf Track and Shannon gulch are well covered with just a couple of rough spots at the ditch and 550rd intersection. Parking is at the wide spot on 550A just before the base of Wolf Track. This will probably be the last of the good skiing for the season, warmer temps and rain predicted later this week. Tony |

It snowed all week up there, we are going up to check conditions later today. Might bring the rollers up and pack everything down again tonight. Only access to upper trails is through Wolf Track trail off of the 550A rd. You can almost drive to the bottom of it now. The snow is good up wolf through Shannon Gulch up to the upper road. Its an 11 mile tour to go all the way to Tin Cup overlook and back. 550 rd.is closed, no base under the new snow, only rocks and dirt ! The skiing should be good for another week up there, our grooming contract is over on the 31st. Its been a good season even with Ma nature doing its best to not cooperate. The sign in sheets show that there were over 600+ skiers and 500+ dogs since Jan. 5th. Thats pretty good! Tony |

10" of new snow at the bottom,12"+ at the top! Packed and dragged Wolf Track, Shannon Gulch and upper road. Still really good skiing, small group of us skated all day up there. Only thin spot is right at the 550 rd intersection and over the kelly hump ramp. Saw someones tracks go up the 550 rd. Bad idea! There is no base under the new snow, large stretches of the road are bare gravel under the snow. The road up to the bottom of Wolf Track will be melted out again in the next couple of days, We drove (4-wheel drive) right to the bottom of it today. Skiing should hold up well this week with the cooler temps. We brought the last of the equipment home tonight, we're done for the season. Tony |

Well its almost gone! All access to upper roads is by going up Wolf track trail. You can drive right to the base of it now, good snow all the way up yesterday. Upper road and the first part of middle are still very skiable. 550 road and 550A road have completely melted out, nothing left of 550A and long patches of gravel on 550. I plan on dragging Upper road, Shannon and Wolf Track sunday morning for one more skate party! then the last of the equipment comes down and we are done for the year! Tony P.S. check comotrailsclub facebook page for any other info and news. |

Trail report; We pulled most of the equipment down last night. We have left one snowmobile and drag up in the top of the system. We will keep upper and middle roads groomed as long as possible. 550road is still skiable, several thin and icy spots down low, not bad above that. On the sunny section above shannon gulch it has melted almost clear across, by mid week you will have to take your skis off in a couple of spots. 550A road is gone in the middle, hard and icy from the parking area to the base of wolf track. Good snow from there to the ditch trail turn off, still a good spot to practice skating on. The ditch trail is good everywhere except the far south east end, have to take skis off in two spots. Wolf Track trail has good coverage, we will keep it groomed top to bottom as long as we can. It is now the only way up into the upper trails that has good continuous snow the whole way. Shannon Gulch is also well covered all the way to 550 road. upper and middle roads still have great snow, upper has mid-winter conditions. If you just can't get enough skiing, we will keep Wolf/shannon/middle and upper roads groomed for at least another week or more. The weather this week will determine what we will have left by then. The road up to the parking area has got some wicked icy spots, good studs or 4-wheel drive recomended. |

Grooming report; Spring conditions, frozen hard surface in the morning, soft and slushy mid afternoon! We dragged all of the trails except the middle of 550Ard. Its melted out to dirt in several spots. 550 road is still hanging on but a couple more days of bright sun and possible rain later this week could be the end of it. Upper and middle roads are still in good shape, one thin area on middle rd going down to chute. the sun might burn it through in the next day or so. Shannon Gulch trails are still holding snow well, one bare spot on the east end of the ditch trail. We will start using Wolf track trail as our way to get to the upper trail when 550 melts out. This could be the last weekend that we can keep the lower trails groomed, We will try to keep the upper area groomed as long as possible. The road up to the parking areas is icy and rutted use caution going up. Tony |

It was warm tonight! Tough trudge up and as the sun went down, it was a fast ski down. Trails are nicely groomed and should be good in the morning. Warmer temps mid to late in the day will make the going slow, but the cover is still good. |

All trails were rolled today and should be in really nice shape for the weekend. They set tracks on all the major roads. Happy skiing, and get it before temps. start rising too much! |

Good skiing with all the snow at como! The 550 road was pretty solid and the upper roads were a little softer and maybe wind blown making you work for your glide, but I'll take that over bare ground any day! Thank you groomers! That must have been long hard work! |

Take a look at the Home page to get information on the Lolo to Lochsa event. There is no race day registration so sign up now. This is fundraiser for the MNSC and an amazing event. It is not often that you get the chance to do such a beautiful point to point course. The 35km course is located on US Forest Service land and follows snowmobile trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The tour starts at the Lolo Pass Visitors Center and proceeds down Pack Creek to Brushy Creek. The course then climbs 7km up Beaver Ridge before descending to the Lochsa River and 5km of rolling terrain leading to the Lochsa Lodge. There will be lots of fun on the course and afterwards. Check it out and support MNSC! |

Sat. grooming report; 6"-9" of new snow since 10:00 last night. We spent the entire day re-rolling everything! Re-set the tracks on 550rd., middle road and upper road. Good coverage everywhere! Will need a little more snow to be able to re-set tracks on 550A rd. It might snow 1"-2" tonight. Tony p.s. there are no trappers working in the area at this time, trapping season is over in 5 days. However there are wolves, lions, moose, elk, deer and other skiers out there, so its still wise to pay attention to what your dogs up to. |
