Due to the warm weather, the 550A and 550 roads are melted out. You can drive up 550 if you have good studded tires, to access both upper roads (13200 & 13201). 13200 does have a few dirt stretches that you need to walk, but is very skiable otherwise. Nothing like a little spring skiing! Enjoy it while it lasts.

Skiing was mostly good. The upper trails of forest road 550 were great, but when I went down road 550 about 6 pm, it was pretty icy. It should be better when it is above freezing. Road 550A had several bare spots. Since there already had been considerable vehicle traffic, I drove up to the junction of 550 and 550A. There was a lot of ATV tracks going up and down the ungated part of 550. The road is sufficiently packed that they did not do too much damage to the trail.
