Description:
Echo Lake Trails are adjacent to Discovery Basin ski area and Echo Lake. Echo Lake Trails Association (ELTA) grooms 14 km  (8.6 mi) of trails for skating and classic skiing. Snowshoeing is allowed. An additional 15 km (9.3 mi) of ungroomed trails are in the system and are signed. 

Parking is available in several areas. The preferred parking area with best access to all trails is the new Midway lot on the road to Discovery Ski area.

Location:
Located between Anaconda and Philipsburg near Georgetown Lake.  Turn East onto the Discovery Basin Road and look for the Midway trailhead parking lot on the left just before arriving at Discovery's parking lots.

Dogs:
Dogs are allowed on trails. Please remove dog waste from the trail surface.  

Cost:
Free.  Donations encouraged and can be dropped in boxes at the trailheads. Donations are also accepted online at echolaketrails.org.  

Land Ownership:
Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest
